Would we be found Guilty?

I went along to the Equip Women's conference on Saturday and found it both encouraging and challenging. I love going to these events where you are surrounded by like-minded women all there to be challenged by God's word who desire to be shaped into the image of Christ.

I am going to write more about what I learned but wanted to share one thing for now. During one of the talks by Carmelina Read she asked this question:

If you were in a court charged with being a Christian would they find enough evidence to convict you??

If they played a video of our lives would our words, actions and deeds convict us, if they had a silent video of our lives would we still be convicted. Would there be proof that faith in our lives is alive??

This was a great big challenge for me and for us all. Would you be charged??

Carmelina is one of my fav women Bible teachers....so clear, so applicable, so Biblical.

What was the passage/topic she was preaching on?

She was speaking on James 2 - 'Dead or Alive' faith without works is dead. She was totally awesome, will write up some notes either later or tomorrow.

You might also want to check out Karen Behalaiz blog (I think there's a link on Drew's blog to here page) She had some interesting comments to make about the day and the talks.
