My cousin should visit Sydney because.....

I would really appreciate if people would write down some reasons why my cousin's in Colorado should come and visit me in Sydney. I haven't seen them for 2 1/2 years and I used to go and visit them all the time when I lived in England, I miss them heaps. Thought it might be good to let them know what they would love about Sydney.

Pancakes on the Rocks! They're awesome. There's also the Botanical Gardens (where part of The Matrix 3 was shot), the aquarium, and possibly other activities like hang gliding. You could go for a weekend trip to Melbourne if you really wanted to.

OK, OK! But, come now, how can it beat 105 degrees, 8% humidity, and no rain in 6 years? Oh, and did I mention the brown, flat land in southeastern Colorado? Beautiful! Ah, there's nothing like it ... you can see for miles and miles and miles. Kinda has that dessert feel ... you sorta forget what the color green really looks like. Did I forget to say we haven't had rain or snow in 6 years? What is that?

Who needs your harbor, your gorgeous views, your abundance of water, and btw, we DO have zoos in America. Yep, it's true - we can even see wallabies(they are on-tour at one of Colorado's zoo right now)? Anyway, back to the land of opportunity (that's Colorado, in case you don't keep-up). I'm beginning to like the parched affect. All from the hand of God, right? So I'm reminding myself to submit to His sovereign will. On that note, maybe I will make a trip to the land downunder (is that what it's called, mate?). If it be the will of God, I will someday soon! Thanks, Nicki's friends, for all the suggestions. Signed, Nick's fruitcake cousin - Paula aka 'Star'

I'd loooove to go to Colorado. One of the places I plan to go to in the States. Reminds me of John Denver, of whom I'm a big fan. "Rocky mountain high, Colorado"... "Blue Ridge mountain, Shanendoah River", etc.

I have always wanted to go to Colorado - also because of John Denver (and I did know he died in a plane crash).

But Sydney, my dear Paula, has Nicki!! (and SP!)

I believe you have animals and zoos in the US, but I bet they don't have the views we have at ours.

Also - you can get a true taste of a beautiful accent, if I do say so myself!!

Also, and this is important - you can be ahead of time here - because we celebrate the new day first (well, kind of third - but let's not get technical)...

Yep, we are practically ahead of everyone here down-under!

Yeah, it was a shame about Denver. He was also unfaithful to his spouse.

make that 'spouses' because he was unfaithful to all of them. Actually he sounded like a most unpleasant man. But he sure could sing beautifully.

Yeah, that's write: he had a few wives :( His voice is hypnotic though.

Am listening now to John Denver. In his song 'You Fill Up My Senses" it sounds like he's singing "You Fill Out My Census" :)
This year is census year :)

NO WAY! John Denver dead? I'll have to check into that. Haha. You guys aren't serious about him being such a grand singer, are you? Hypnotic? Surely not. Guess I never did care for his singing nor his "bugs life" glasses.

The desert-lands here in SE Colorado are nothing at all like the "rocky mountain highs" John sings about (or used to sing about, if he's truly dead). You know, not all Colorado looks the same!! Whenever I tell people (from out-of-state) that we live in Colorado, the first thing they usually say is, "oh, do you snow ski all the time?" Cha! (Kinda like your Vegamite vs. Marmite or Maxomite stuff, Nick .... you know what their reaction is going to be).

Later,
Fruitcake

Take a seat fruitcake, yes he is dead...

So you don't go snow skiing all the time?? What is with that - you are just 3 1/2 hours away - come on Star you can do it...

You should move to Arizona..

Ohhhh come on it's not that bad. You get to watch movies back to back, get a great hardy meal on the plane, block the aisle with your trolley (your Mum is good at that) and then see me and beautiful Sydney at the end - Hoorah!! You just have to come ;)
