sad to not be at adventure club :(

Well, it's Thursday afternoon and the time I would normally be at Adventure Club with my beautiful little kids. I have to take a few weeks off while SP is unable to drive and get around because it is too hard logisitcally to work out, BUT a few people have kindly said they would help out which is lovely.
I love Adventure Club, I love seeing all the little ones learning and excited about our God. I will miss seeing them for a few weeks but it isn't forever and so it's not all bad.
I was so encouraged last week by little Thomas' comments about heaven and what it will be like and his confession of believing in Jesus, it was the most amazing week and I enjoyed every minute. Please pray for him and all the other kids we have at Adventure Club that they might truly know our great God and that they will continue to walk with him. Also pray for us leaders that we might be diligent and faithful in preaching to these little children and that God might work through the skits, talks and fun time to grow them into godly men and women who know and fear the Lord.

Hey Nix, This is really off-topic, but since I don't have your email address I decided to ask you about immigration here :-)

Out of curiosity, have you apllied for (dual?) citizenship through a spousal visa? I'm trying to organise the same thing for my Korean fiance when she comes here in October.

Cheerz.

I am just about to hand in my application today actually for a Spouse Visa. I get a temporary spouse visa for two years (gives same benefits of Permenant Res) and then in two years I have to show we are still married and then I get Permenant residency.. Not sure about dual citizenship though, haven't looked into that yet.

Ah, OK. I've stored a hoard of emails that JH and I sent each other over the last few months, as well as airline ticket stubs and photos of us meeting in South Korea.

Sorry you had to miss your Adventure Club. I am thankful for people like you who do children's ministry. I've tried it and finally concluded that I wasn't the person for that. Praise the Lord that not everone is like me!!!!!

In a few weeks Awana starts up. Adventure Club sound similar to Awana and is on Wednesday nights too. Awana is actually not at our church. It is at another Bible believing church in town. I am thankful for my brothers and sisters in Christ across town (and across the world too!).

Nix and Giraffe,

Your visa process sounds very much like ours in the US. It seems everyone has gotten more sticky about bringing spouses to from another country these days.

Ja, we seem to think that everyone else in the world wants to come here. I guess that's true in some places, but not always.

If someone comes from Korea or the UK they have a better chance of becoming a citizen then, say, someone from the Middle East.

It feels good to finally hand the whole visa thing in. I looked at it so much that I worry I have forgotten something, I guess if they need more they will let me know. I know at the same time that I couldn't have included anything else. Please pray it might be granted and granted quickly :)

Sure. Being hyper-vigilant for too long can be really draining.
